About Me
Milton Owor has held senior HR leadership roles in leading global multinationals, including British American Tobacco Plc, Royal Dutch Shell and General Electric Company GE, over the last 25 years. He has worked in several African countries, Europe and the US.
His career in Human Resources management began when he worked for British American Tobacco, in Uganda. He rose in ranks to become the Country HR Manager representing the firm before heading on to become Head of HR for British American Tobacco in Eastern Africa. He was assigned additional responsibilities to lead HR in Eastern and Southern Africa, covering a total of 32 countries.
Notably, he was also the Head of HR for B.A.T West and Central Africa Region, based in Dakar, Senegal.
Milton has worked with the Royal Dutch Shell company, as head of HR for Anglophone Africa, with a responsibility to represent all the English-speaking countries in Africa. After 7 years with Shell, he joined General Electric Company, GE, where he was the HR Director for Africa Region.
He has deep domain expertise in HR and has over the years led major projects involving Organizational Culture, Change Management, Organization Structuring, Skills Audit / Staffing Levels, Job Analysis and Pay Structuring among others.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Makerere University, Kampala, an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK, and Certificate in Global Business leadership from INSEAD, Paris. Moreover, he has also attended several HR Professional Training seminars across the globe.
